Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This page explains what happens to your information when you visit muhammadmuneeb.dev. I'm Muhammad Muneeb, the person who runs this site, and this policy is written by me, not a law firm, so I've tried to keep it in plain language while still covering the legal bases.

What I collect

If you fill out the contact form, I get your name, your email address, and whatever you typed in the message box. That's it for anything you give me directly. I use it to reply to you and nothing else.

Beyond that, the site uses a couple of third-party services that collect some data on their own, which I'll go through below.

Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics to get a rough idea of how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they're coming from. It's aggregate data, it doesn't tell me who you are personally, and Google handles the storage under its own privacy policy.

Google AdSense

This site runs ads through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to decide which ads to show you based on sites you've visited before, including this one. If you'd rather not see personalized ads, you can turn that off at Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of this kind of tracking across more sites at aboutads.info.

I don't run any remarketing pixels of my own, there's no social login on this site, no CAPTCHA widget, and no chat tool collecting your data in the background.

What I don't do

I don't sell your information. I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. The only places your data goes are Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and only because those services need it to function, governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Your rights

If you're in California, you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA: you can ask what information I have on you, ask me to delete it, correct it if it's wrong, and opt out of any sale or sharing of it (which, again, isn't happening here anyway). Email me and I'll sort it out.

If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR gives you similar rights: access, correction, deletion, restricting how your data is processed, and moving it elsewhere if you want. The reason I process anything at all is either because you asked me to (by contacting me) or because I have a reasonable interest in running analytics and ads on my own site. You can also complain to your local data protection authority if you think I've done something wrong.

This policy also exists to satisfy CalOPPA, which just requires that a site like this have a public privacy policy in the first place. Right now the site doesn't do anything special in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal.

Kids

This site is a software engineering portfolio and blog. It isn't aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

How long I keep things

Contact form messages stick around only as long as I need them to answer you and keep a basic record that you reached out.

Security

I take reasonable steps to keep anything you send me safe, but like any site, I can't promise it's airtight. No one honestly can.

Changes

I'll update this page if anything about the site's data practices changes, and I'll bump the date at the top when I do.
